COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

This is a list of precautions that we are taking at our office in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic.  This is not a comprehensive list, as we are constantly updating our protocols as we learn more about the COVID-19 virus and how it is spread.  You can rest assured that we are taking all possible steps to keep ourselves, our staff, our patients, and our community safe.

CONTACTLESS PARKING

While our building garage is valet-only, there are a number of streets with free 2-hour parking within a short walk from our office.  Please allow for extra time and read the street signs carefully as the parking rules may have change:

  • Clifton Way (between LaPeer Dr & Wetherly Dr)
  • Almont Dr (between Wilshire Blvd & Clifton Way, and between Charleville & Gregory Way)
  • LaPeer Dr (between Charleville & Gregory Way)
  • Gregory Way (between Doheny Dr & Robertson Blvd)
  • Swall Dr (between Charleville & Gregory Way)

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We ask all patients to notify us when they have arrived, but to wait in the hallway or outside the building in order to maintain adequate social distancing.  We will call you when your room is ready.

FACE COVERINGS

In accordance with the City of Beverly Hills’ order for a face covering to be worn in all public spaces, all guests entering the office will be required to wear a face covering (can be non-medical) until they are seated in their treatment room with the door closed.

SCREENING

Everyone that enters the office will be asked screening questions and have their temperature taken with a touchless infrared thermometer.

LIMITING GUESTS

We will be limiting the number of guests to our office to only those with appointments, so we request all guests to come alone, unless the patient is a minor or needs a caregiver.  Our waiting room will only have 2 seats, in order to maintain adequate social distancing, and will be reserved for people with mobility impairments.

CONTACTLESS FORMS

We have moved all our medical history forms online, in to a HIPAA-secure format, to allow you to complete your medical history and update forms all from the comfort and ease of your own home.

DISINFECTION

Our standard disinfection protocol has been proven effective against viruses similar to the coronavirus, and eliminates it from hard surfaces in 30 seconds.  In addition to our treatment rooms, all hard surfaces and objects (e.g., door handles, pens, etc.) will be regularly cleaned throughout the day.

AIR PURIFIERS

We have placed air purifiers with medical grade H13 True HEPA filters in every room around the office.  This will filter out 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns (the average size of coronavirus particles is 0.125 microns).  The air in each room will be cleaned every 5 minutes.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)

You will notice that all our staff will have extra PPE that you aren’t used to seeing them in.  The best way we can protect you, is by protecting our staff.  Under all that extra gear, are the same people you have come to know and love!

MOUTH RINSE

In order to minimize the potential for virus transmission, we will request all patients rinse with a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse for 1 minute at the start of their appointment.

HIGH-VOLUME SUCTION

The literature has shown that the use of high volume suction can reduce aerosols in a dental office by 96%.  While we normally use high volume suction during many of our procedures, we will be increasing the use of intra-oral suction devices or adding a suction just outside your mouth to capture the aerosols.

SCHEDULING

Due to the extra precautions we’re taking, our cleaning process will take longer.  This means that we may not be able to offer as many appointment times to you, or they may be at a time that is different than what you have been used to.

CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS

Our secure virtual terminal allows us to safely store credit card numbers on file for easy, contactless checkout.  We can also send digital invoices to your email to allow you to pay on your phone.  All payment will be due at the end of the appointment, as usual.

WAIVER OF CANCELLATION FEES

If you are experiencing any symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue), or are in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 positive patient, please call us to reschedule your appointment.   We will not be charging cancellation fees for appointments cancelled at the last minute.
